Elon Musk appears to have finally settled on a new verification system. According to tweets posted over the weekend, the new system will feature a variety of checkmarks for individuals; companies, and then governments. Gold will go to companies, grey will go to governments, and blue will go to people (celebs or not.) The new system will also feature manual verification and authentication of all checkmark subscriptions before they actually go live.
