Iconic feminist news site Jezebel often known for its forward commentary is shutting down. According to the company, it failed to find a buyer after recently being put up for sale.
The New York Times reports that after an off the rails meeting Jezebel has closed its doors. Former employees revealed to the paper that abrupt meetings took place on Thursday with closure effective immediately. Layoffs are expected to affect about 23 people in total.
