LILONGWE, MALAWI —Shortly after 9:17am a military plane according to reports disappeared from control radars and hasn’t been heard from since. According to reports, the plane was carrying VP Saulos Chilima and 9 others and was due to land less than 45 minutes later. It was due to land at the Mzuzu International Airport.
A search and rescue remains underway according to a statement from Malawian President Lazarus Chakwera’s office per the The Guardian.
