Highlights:
1. Shocking murder case unfolds in Boston as girlfriend of fallen cop stands trial for his savage murder.
The trial of Karen Read has begun the Boston girlfriend of John O’ Keefe the fallen cop she is accused of murdering while having been in a relationship with him.
Backstory
29 January 2022 in Canton Massachusetts reports at the time noted that O’Keefe’s lifeless body was found outside of a fellow police officer’s residence in the area.
It gets pretty dark beyond this point.
For her alleged role in the case, Read has been charged with the following and pleaded not guilty to second-degree murder, vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated and leaving the scene of a collision.
Read, a former finance educator, is accused of murdering O’Keefe in what prosecutors argue might’ve been a mixture of things. According to the case, prosecutors say she struck him with her Black Lexus SUV.
It’s a case that has captivated the area and beyond and even sparked protests. We’ll be following this in our true crime column as it unfolds.
Jury selection began Tuesday in Norfolk County.
