George Santos didn’t disclose his payday from a company accused of being a ponzi scheme

Embattled Republican Rep George Santos has been caught in another scandal involving a company accused of being a ponzi scheme.

George Santos not only has a controversial relationship with the truth, he also apparently has numerous secrets involving his financial history before having assumed office in Washington. According to the Washington Post, a new scandal is brewing for Santos after the paper uncovered that Santos was paid undisclosed sums from a Florida based company accused of being a ponzi scheme. The company has been identified as Harbor City Capital and he was paid from said company as recently as April 2021 according to a lawyer who has been tasked with reviewing the company.

READ: An official SEC complaint against Harbor City Capital filed in 2021.

Santos had previously told The Daily Beast he left the company on March 1, 2021.

It does not appear that he disclosed this pay or his correct departure date to the proper authorities.

A formal financial disclosure filed by Santos as a candidate that covered January 2021 to December 2022 did not list any payments from Harbor City Capital leading to accusations that Santos is hiding the true source of many of his funds.
