Metropolitan police have confirmed that an arrest in the theft of a new Banksy art piece has been made. An unidentified male in his 20s is in custody on theft and criminal charges in relation to the incident.
Banksy’s art is considered very valuable around the world so art thieves often target the pieces. This week, a brazen thief and his cohort decidedly stole Banksy’s new stop sign art featuring military planes in London. According to reports, the male will remain in custody pending the outcome of an investigation.
