Vladamir Putin ‘s reign in Russia may not end anytime soon. According to reports, Putin is seeking another 6 year term in an election he is expected to widely win without opposition in March. Russia ‘s elections have long been considered undemocratic and this is another attempt by Putin to seize and maintain power.
2. A UN security council resolution regarding the calls for ceasefire in Gaza in the Israel-Hamas war has been vetoed by the United States (the UK abstained.)
3. Infamous killer Ethan Crumbley is going to prison for life.

5. Trump ‘s gag order has been amended according to changes made in the election interference trial against him. Despite what he continues to say online, Donald Trump remains under criminal indictment for his efforts to overturn the election.
Donald Trump will now be able to disparage the special counsel in the case against him that threatens to derail his entire brand. On Friday, the judge in the case kept the order but altered it allowing disparaging comments to be made essentially about the counsel. It is the latest example of the US justice system bending to the unheard of demands of the ‘rich’ and ‘powerful.’
