Sam Altman ‘s sudden firing from OpenAI over the weekend sent the AI community into a tizzy because people couldn’t figure out the why part. Now according to reports it appears that we sort of know that why part and it happened just as fast as one could probably have blinked.
According to reports, the founders of OpenAI have both found new jobs not even a day after having been booted from OpenAI together. Hours before the job reveals, OpenAI had attempted to get at least Altman back, however, it was too late to do so at that point. Altman will now join Microsoft to help lead an advanced AI research and development team.
Greg Brockman will also join the same team having departed from OpenAI.
