Here’s how Joe Biden’s $105B wartime aid request package measures up cost wise as U.S. taxpayers prep to foot the bill

The White House has formally laid out its request to Congress for more than $105b in essentially wartime funding. About $75B of that would go to Israel and Ukraine while the remainder would go to a various list of sources.

A breakdown of the costs include:

  • $60 billion for providing military arms to Ukraine.
  • $14 billion for army and security assistance to Israel.
  • $10 billion for emergency humanitarian assistance for both wars.
  • $14 billion for US border security.
  • $7 billion for aid to Taiwan and the Indo-Pacific region to counter China’s threats.
