Ongoing civil disruption in Haiti caused by gang violence and other forms of violence has reached a new boiling point in the country. According to reports, demands from gang leaders have now been made for the resignation of Prime Minister Henry or else.

Haitian gang leaders who have largely managed to upend the country since the assassination of the country’s last President have now made their demands for the current Prime Minister. The New York Times reports local gang leaders made their demands clear about the state of Ariel Henry ‘s government. “If Ariel Henry doesn’t resign, if the international community continues to support him, we’re heading straight for a civil war,” they said Tuesday.
