Following a years-long investigation, Amazon is now the subject of a massive lawsuit by the FTC and 17 U.S. states amid wild claims that the company is nothing more than an illegal operation based on its practices.
“Amazon is a monopolist, and it is exploiting its monopolies in ways that leave shoppers and sellers paying more for worse services,” FTC chief Lina Khan told reporters, per the Washington Post.
Feds allege that Amazon upcharges sellers; people, and others often providing less than stellar services or products regardless of this fact.
