The Islamic Revolutionary Guard has been caught violating sanctions after the United States seized some 1m barrels of crude oil bound for China in illicit sale: DOJ

And they would have gotten away with it too if it weren’t for those meddling Americans and their allies. According to reports, the DOJ has delivered a swift dose of justice to Iran after it discovered that a certain company was helping the country’s revolutionary guard violate international sanctions.

A heavy load of crude oil bound for China has been stopped in its tracks this weekend after it was discovered to have come from Iran. In a pair of court filings, the DOJ has issued the first ever criminal proceedings for companies blatantly violating international sanctions. Iran has been sanctioned for several years over many of its ill-intended activities both domestically and internationally. According to the DOJ, the Iranians attempted to disguise the oil and its ship to avoid detection but ultimately failed.

They did so with the help of a company known as Empire Navigation.

“This is the first-ever criminal resolution involving a company that violated sanctions by facilitating the illicit sale and transport of Iranian oil,” according to the DOJ.

ISG has been designated a terrorist organization for several years over its activities both domestically and internationally. The group has often been in hot-water over its development of weapons of mass destruction; deceit on an international scale, and collaboration with other state sponsors of terrorism and otherwise enemies of the West.
