The case as a whole is quite an example of what the dark side of fame and fortune looks like. This week the case of Mahek Bukhari, 24, and her accomplice mother came to an end. Bukhari, 24, and her mother were sentenced to life in prison for abusing Bukhari’s online fame thereby helping lead to the murder of two young men.
A wild tale of infidelity; fame, and the warped reality that all of those things bring has brought down a popular influencer and her mother over the murders of two young men whom they wronged in the most horrible way possible. In February of last year, Saqib Hussain, 21, was lured to a parking lot of a Tesco by Bukhari and her mother under false pretences. From there, Hussain and his friend were chased by multiple cars carrying several people. The pair ultimately died after a 100mph fatal and fiery car crash occurred on the A46.
The two men they killed were Saqib Hussain, 21, and his friend Mohammed Hashim Ijazuddin.
Prosecutors successfully argued that the duo lured Hussain to that parking lot in an effort to kill him. The pair previously had a romantic relationship that is understood to have gone sour in the leadup to Hussain’s murder. Hussain had allegedly attempted to go public with Bukhari’s affair as she was married at the time of their tawdry romp. Hussain had attempted to get back £3000 that he had spent during his affair with Mrs. Bukhari.
