New York Rep George Santos is now facing criminal charges according to CNN. CNN reports that federal prosecutors in the Eastern District of New York filed the under-seal charges somtime recently. It isn’t immdiately clear what the charges are exactly for, however, Santos was recently under scrutiny for severeal discrepencies that weree found in his campaign finance filings.
Santos is expected to appear before the court on Wednesday in cconnection to the case.
