The 6th of January Select Committee is finally coming to a close and as expected it will result in recommendations for criminal charges against Donald Trump. According to the committee, Monday’s meeting which is scheduled to be the last will see a formal vote on whether or not the case gets referred to the Department of Justice. As a whole, the committee is set to disband entirely following the wrapping up of the meeting.
Per the committee the charges up for recommendation include insurrection, obstruction of an official proceeding, and conspiracy to defraud the US government, Politico reports. If charged and eventually convicted, Donald Trump will never be able to seek office again.
