Though reports indicate that Depp will receive upwards of $15m but Heard is not actually worth that kind of money. In fact, according to Celebrity Net Worth, her net worth as of the trial verdict stands at about $-8m. It does seem various sources tracking famed wealth are taking into account the verdict against her. Her net worth was about $9m prior to the verdict.
Huff Post notes that Heard’s legal team is expected to file the appeal within days as she doesn’t have the money to pay Depp.
