Manson follower denied parole once again

CALIFORNIA — Leslie Van Houten — otherwise best known as a previous member of the murderous Manson cult has been blocked from being released from prison. According to Gavin Nesom’s office, Houten “although reported to be undre well behavior and exhibited signs of rehabilitation still poses concern with the idea that she would return to violent behavior”.

Houten was convicted just before. the reign of Charles Manson for the murders of mega-grocer Mr. LaBianca in Los Angeles and his wife. The couple at the time was found stabbed up; bloodied, and horrificly killed. Houten allegedly helped smear their blood all over walls.

Houten was formally jailed in 1979 for the murders — and would go on to see parole boards and the like 19 times over the next several decades.
