Gold bars linked to Bob Menendez ‘s federal case are actually from a 2013 robbery according to records shared online

It seems Bob Menendez ‘s federal case is getting more interesting as time goes on. According to NBC News, Menendez ‘s ‘gold bars’ that were found in his home during the initial onset searches are actually from a 2013 robbery that was reported to the authorities.

NBC found that a series of Bergen County records revealed that at least four of the gold bars along with their serial numbers from Menendez’s home matched those of the previously stolen bars. At the time in 2013, the also accused NJ businessman Fred Daibes had reported that he had about $500k and 22 gold bars stolen from him.

(Gold bars typically have unique serial numbers on them. Reports indicate that the numbers then matched the numbers identically confirming they were related.)
