Real estate commissions in the U.S may soon ride off into the sunset following new ruling

NAR (Nat’l Association of Realtors) along with two other brokerage groups is probably wishing right about now the case never happened. According to reports, the wide-ranging case involving two groups; NAR, and home buyers has wildly backfired.

The three groups involved were all found guilty this week by a federal jury over claims that they conspired to keep the price of homes high to better pad their own pay and that of commissions.

CNN has some reports that suggest swathes of real estate agents probably may no longer be agents in the near future — with more than 40% of agents expected to leave the industry.
