The Afternoon: Israel strikes again, Antarctica at risk of melting no matter what, big political upset may be likely in Venezuela, plus what’s on TV tonight

Good afternoon everyone and welcome to Monday it sure seems like the week’s are just flying by.

  1. Just moments in between another shipment of aid arriving for people in Gaza, Israel struck again from across the way.

According to reports, there was another strike by Israel today that occurred in the midst of new aid being delivered across Egypt ‘s Rafah Crossing. The continuously escalating violence suggests that the people involved are looking for a long war.

2. Venezuela ‘s Machado may pull off a dramatic and historic upset in a country often described as Maduro ‘s hell.

With elections underway in Venezuela, Maria Machado has taken a huge lead in the Presidential primary polls. Machado of course is facing off against longtime dictator Nicholas Maduro who has been in power so long he’s gotten away with almost every major crime he’s allegedly committed. According to the independent National Party commission, 93% of the first 601,110 ballots counted went to Machado.

3. Some grim news in Antarctica.

According to a new study, ice is rapidly melting in North Antarctica which means that at some point the likelihood of sea levels dramatically increasing to the point humans in coastal cities become displaced just increased. The research study shows that the ice sheet covering the area when it fully melts will raise the sea level about 5 metres.

Drum roll please…..

Elite is back with season 7 and it is more scandalous than ever.
