Republicans are attempting to elect a Speaker of the House but nobody seems to know if they can do that

Tuesday marked a moment of brief progress for GOPers in the House following closed door meetings. However, in Republican fashion reports indicate that the attempt to elect a new Speaker has so far yielded no results.

According to The Hill, Republicans met for closed-door meetings on Tuesday that in Republican fashion yielded nothing other than a show. Republicans despite numerous present ultimately failed to elect a new House speaker as the disarray in the House continuers throwing the functionality of the U.S government further in jeopardy.
