The UK has announced that it will soon begin charging travelers to enter the country

Traveler and tourism schemes (visas and the like) are not at all anything new. But the UK is just now getting into the entry fee game with an announcement over the weekend.

Travelers hoping to get into the United Kingdom will soon have to fork over what amounts to about $12.50 USD to gain entry. According to officials, the government has announced a new travelers scheme presumably in hopes of also raising additional state revenue from the project.
