Stewart Rhodes the now infamous white nationalist who helped lead the terrorist attack on the U.S Capitol on 6 Jan 2021 has learned his fate. Prosecutors initially and successfully argued that Rhodes helped lead the day into what it became.

The gavel has officially come down on Stewart Rhodes the infamous Oath Keepers leader who helped lead the plot against the American government on that now infamous day. According to court documents, Rhodes has been sentenced to 18 years in federal prison for his role in the Capitol attacks. In typical right-wing fashion, Rhodes maintains that he is a political prisoner but has offered no proof or evidence to the contrary as of yet.

According to his attorneys, he plans to appeal the conviction. As a whole, the conviction is the longest to date doled out to people who illegally tried to overthrow the government.
