Sudan ‘s warring generals who have in a matter of weeks brought the country to bloodshed have agreed to a reported ceasefire but only in principle. In the announcement made by neighbouring South Sudan, it isn’t entirely clear if both sides of the warring parties will adhere to the ceasefire. Al Jazeera notes that the ceasefire (assuming it happens) would begin on 4 May and run through 11 May.
