If there’s one thing clear even if Republicans won’t clearly admit it such is that their future is dead. This month Florida’s Governor Ron DeSantis quietly passed a bill that sets back reproductive healthcare for women even further. Women in Florida are no longer permitted to have an abortion after 6 weeks ironically because a man said so.
In one shining different example, you have Michigan’s Gretchen Whitmer who is making it her personal mission to protect women across the board and their right to reproductive healthcare. When Whitmer signed off on the state’s repeal of the infamous 1931 ban it was done for the world to see. It was that way so that people understood Whitmer and Michigan weren’t playing any games.
GOPers are on the other hand attempting to do all of their dirty deeds in private. DeSantis made little mention of his bill passing, and, even while out and about touring the country. That speaks volumes about the leadership skills and effort of these people. People need to wake up.
People need to wake up and fast. These people, assuming they were to win enough power to do so, would pass so many laws the way they did this in Florida in secret — nobody would know left from right or right from wrong.
