Grindr is helping the CDC distribute more than 1m at-home HIV tests beginning today in the U.S

One of the world’s most popular gay apps (and annoying gay app 2nd only to the god-forsaken trash that is Jack’d) is finally in the news for something other than murder; a robbery, a set-up gone wrong, or something violently worse.

According to the CDC, Grindr is joining forces with the federal agency and a number of corporations to help distribute 1m at-home tests over the course of the next five years. At-home HIV tests are often critical in the fight against HIV as they can allow people to much more easily test themselves (of course a positive result means you should visit your doctor in person though.)
