6 year old who shot his teacher won’t face charges in Virginia

The unidentified 6-year-old in Newport News Virginia who shot his elementary school teacher will not be charged. According to reports, the boy will not be charged because is ‘too young’ to understand how or what the justice system really is. NBC reports that officials are citing along with the reason that the boy ‘theoretically’ can be charged for his crime in the state however he is just ‘too young.’

He intentionally shot Abby Zwerner at Richneck Elementary School. The 25-year-old first-grade teacher was hospitalized for almost two weeks. Officials are still figuring out whether or not to bring charges entirely, with, some noting that even the parents may face charges over what happened. His parents maintain that the gun used had always been locked up and they weren’t sure how he got it.
