POLAND — Officials are scrambling today to investigate reports that Putin’s missiles have crossed into the bloc. Senior US officials per reports out Tuesday have confirmed that two Polish citizens are dead after the missiles crossed into the country.
The attack is understood to have been intended for Ukraine, however, the missiles instead crossed over the border and into Poland. American officials are also further investigating the reports amid claims that the bloc is preparing to defend itself or potentially respond. How a response would go remains unclear at this time according to USA TODAY and several other outlets.
CNN reports that Polish officials are convening on the matter though little further information is available at this time amid an ongoing investigation.
