America: Don’t believe the GOP they are coming for YOUR social security that YOU pay for

Last updated on 2022-12-21

Despite what they say the GOP is in fact coming for your social security so much so that they’re attempting to now describe such as cuts rather than gut. But the truth of the matter is, in America, you pay for this program called Social Security to eventually use it when you put your feet up later in life to supplement your income so you don’t have to work as hard. And in some cases, some people flat out retire and draw the social security they’ve paid for their entire life.

REMINDER: THE 2022 MIDTERM ELECTIONS IN THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA ARE NEXT MONTH. AND LISTEN FRIENDS, YOUR FUTURE AS AMERICAN CITIZENS DEPENDS ON IT. YOUR RICH OLIGARCHS AND BILLIONAIRES AND THEIR POLITICIAN BUDDIES ARE ATTEMPTING TO TAKE YOUR MONEY FROM YOU.

Republicans plan to attempt to force the gutting of social security by the long term by the use of holding the debit limit hostage. As we noted in previous election coverage, Republicans have confirmed that they are willing to hold debt-limit discussions hostage in an effort to gouge Democrats for as many concessions as possible. Some of those concessions are the deeply unpopular policy changes that would otherwise see Medicare and Social Security outright gutted (but the joke here is that Republicans would still be sinking their teeth into what was social security, it’s just Americans themselves that would not be allowed to do so.)

“You can’t just continue down the path to keep spending and adding to the debt,” McCarthy told Punchbowl News in an interview published Tuesday.

“And if people want to make a debt ceiling [for a longer period of time], just like anything else, there comes a point in time where, OK, we’ll provide you more money, but you got to change your current behavior,” McCarthy said. “We’re not just going to keep lifting your credit card limit, right?”

Repubs ironically have a history of attempting to hold the debt limit hostage under Democrats. They previously did this under Obama but not under Trump are now attempting to do it again under Biden.

“The debt ceiling is the natural place from which you can operate to affect spending change,” Rep. Chip Roy (R-Texas) told HuffPost earlier this month.
