Saudi Arabia has named its new Prime Minister by royal decree. According to the Saudi Press Agency, MBS has been announced as the new Prime Minister of the Kingdom a title traditionally held by the sitting monarch. King Salman, 86, has had a number of major health issues since early 2020. Per the decree, King Salman, will continue to chair the cabinet meetings in which he usually has over time.
MBS is otherwise hoping to use the new title as means to further push the Kingdom ‘s Vision 2030 project which hopes to bolster its economy and end its dependency on oil.
