In major victory for LGBTQ+ rights Singapore is set to decriminalize sex between men

Singapore is moving into the modern ages. According to reports, the government of Singapore is moving to decriminalize sex between men (ironically sex between two women was never a crime.) Prime Minster Lee Hsien Loong of Singapore made the announcement during a broadcast over the weekend — but then turned right around and proposed an amendment marking marriage as between one man and one woman.

Per the BBC. “The government will repeal Section 377A and decriminalize sex between men,” the prime minister said, citing changing public attitudes toward gay sex. “I believe this is the right thing to do and something that Singaporeans will accept.”
