Social networking app Whatsapp has announced that the app is set to introduce a slew of long awaited changes that many have actually wanted for a while. One of many of those changes will be the ability to check messages without other people knowing.
The platform will soon allow people to control who can see when they’re online, prevent others from taking screenshots of certain messages, and leave groups without notifying entire channels. The changes are expected to roll out in the coming days for many with a screenshot blocking tool coming in the weeks following that. Meta the app’s parent company made the announcement on Tuesday at a time when the social network itself is attempting to rebuild the many barriers of trust which they broke.
(Signal is far better anyway and no we weren’t paid to say that the truth hurts though.)
