Ukraine Conflict: What does Putin want and how far will he go to get it?

There may only be one way to stop Putin and that is full blown conflict. To put an end to Moscow ‘s power may mean that the West including the United States must take on Putin and put an end to the Kremlin forever. As many Russian people are shocked at the moves of their own government, these people remain largely innocent (as do the Ukrainians) and should not be blamed for the full-scale invasion by their government.

What is the conflict?

Starting back in 2014, Russia as many of you know famously annexed Crimea but at the time the world did very little and pretty much let him keep his shiny award. The conflict began at that point with Russia all but amassing thousands of troops; weapons, and artillery along Ukraine ‘s borders ever since. On Thursday, those very items were put to use in a multi-pronged attack on Ukraine quite literally from all possible directions. So far, the casualties are in the dozens with children among the dead by Russian troops and their shellings.

Russia wants to restore Ukraine to Russian power(s) though Ukraine was famously guaranteed securities by the world by the 1994 Budapest Memorandum. That memo noted that so long as Ukraine gave up its nuclear powers it would be protected from Russia and others — but it notably makes no mention of what happens during an invasion. The world must now hold up its end of the bargain simply because they helped coerce Ukraine into giving up its nuclear powers to begin with.

Sanctions..sanctions.. sanctions…

Sanctions have been issued almost across the world against Russia though it is unclear if these sanctions will actually have any real consequences given that Russia has garnered close knit friends like China who don’t mind playing criminal on the world’s stage.

What does Putin want?

Putin has made it no secret that he wants to restore the Russian empire. Now let’s be very blunt here, the restoration of any part of the Russian Empire would likely mean that the West would have to take on Putin or likely cease to exist in modern day. It is unclear if the West would survive any form of a full restoration of the Soviet Union. Putin has made this no secret since pre-Crimea-annexation days and has long sought to make “Russia Great Again.”

Putin claims that locals in Moscow are supportive of his actions though that remains to be seen and is believed to be misinformation according to numerous locals who spoke to Bazaar Daily through secure channels.l

So, what happens from here?

Putin is likely to continue his unlawful war in Ukraine and beyond. The West is likely to get dragged into the war and the casualties will more than likely be massive. If the West isn’t careful — this will be the precursor to World War III.
