In the UK this time of the year is generally where most are either picking up their holiday plans or preparing for them as millions are set to go about the season over the course of the next two months. Though some are poised to discover that a popular destination in Athens will be unavailable for some time. Tons of airlines throughout the UK system have been forced to temporarily suspend flights that otherwise would be going over or near Italy ‘s Mt Etna which is currently volcanically active.
Airlines are advising customers that have half term holiday flights to the Athens area (that includes any and all flights) to contact airline support staffs promptly.
