Sex workers and the like are set to have a troubling time getting their stimulus checks

That’s because in some instances they may get them (because independent contractors are actually covered) and others they will not. For decades in America, sex workers; performers, strippers, and almost everybody in between has largely been the subject of universal discrimination when it comes to almost anything a normal “employee” or “worker” (of any kind) would get at a normal business.

The Coronavirus relief bill is no different. In the SBA application (which is where people apply for relief as small businesses/etc) it states the following:

People are asked to confirm that they don’t “present live performances of a prurient sexual nature” or make money from “the sale of products or services, or the presentation of any depictions or displays, of a prurient sexual nature.”

But the million-dollar question remains: America consumes more porn than probably most countries on earth —- but the very same people who also pay taxes aren’t allowed or afforded to get any help in the midst of a pandemic?
