5 Things To Know About Dubai ‘s Princess Haya

Princess Haya (whom is actually the half sister of Abdullah II, the King of Jordan) is the woman at the centre of the latest in an already growing list of royal showdowns. Haya married Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum – Prime Minister and ruler of Dubai in 2004. Since then she now says that he has been abusing her for more than a decade, per reports.

  1. They got married when she was still living in Aman.

The Sun notes that the couple married in 2004 when she was young. Not only did she marry the Emir of all Emirates — she became his sixth wife at the time.

2. She is apparently living in a $100million mansion outside of Kensington Palace

Several reports are indicating that Princess Haya fled to London with a good chunk of the royal fortune. Although unconfirmed it appears tangible as a car allegedly carrying Haya was seen in the area of KP.

3. Al Maktoum alleges….

In a secret Instagram post, Maktoum alleged that his wife had committed acts of betrayal. But they wouldn’t comment any further.

4. She is wicked smart..

According to several reports — Haya graduated from Oxford University.  That makes total sense considering additional reports say that she single-handedly orchestrated her escape and executed it flawlessly.

Princess Haya left after what had happened to Al-Maktoum ‘s other daughter who also ran away and then was tortured upon her forced return.
