Turns out Rod Rosenstein is looking to do an about-face; run for the hills, and likely save what’s left of his ass. According to a letter released online, Rosenstein has submitted his resignation to Donald Trump effective 11 May. In the letter, Rosenstein claims that he helped make “America and its election system more clear”.
If that isn’t the most laughable thing.
“We enforce the law without fear or favor because credible evidence is not partisan, and truth is not determined by opinion polls,” Rosenstein wrote. “We keep the faith, we follow the rules and we always put America first.”
Rosenstein has long infuriated the Trump Administration, mostly because he was actually the one to appoint Robert Mueller to begin with.
