Medical examiner reports have now revealed the cause of death in the murder of Audrii Cunningham who went missing earlier this month.

The Lowdown

Medial examiners reports show that Cunningham died of ‘homicidal violence including blunt force trauma to the head.’ News of the cause of death comes after authorities quickly arrested family friend Don McDougal in connection to her death.

Who is Audrii Cunningham?

Audrii Cunningham disappeared from her rural Livingston neighborhood earlier this month. Last Thursday, Mcdougal is understood to have agreed to take Cunningham to school though she did not make it to the bus — her bright colored Hello Kitty backpack was later found.

On Tuesday, her remains were found floating in the Trinity River where she had rope tied around her body. The rope according to police reports was consistent with rope that had been found inside McDougal’s vehicle two days prior during a traffic stop.
