5 members of a Jehovah’s Witnesses Congregation in PA have been charged with child sex abuse in heartbreaking case involving kids as young as 4 and some developmentally delayed

A yearslong investigation into a congregation in PA has now led to multiple people being charged with child sex abuse. Pennsylvania’s Attorney General announced this weekend that 5 members of the place have been charged with such offences and the investigation remains ongoing.

A massive investigation involving a religious congregation in PA has led to numerous child abuse charges. Authorities allege that the congregation was the ‘breeding ground’ for the abuse to begin as those accused ‘used’ the organization to gain the trust of the children involved. All of the children are also understood to have been members of the organization.

According to court documents reviewed by Bazaar Daily, those charged have been identified as David Balosa, 62, Errol William Hall, 50, Shaun Sheffer, 45, Terry Booth, 57, and Luis Manuel Ayala-Velasquez. Each of the men stands accused of abusing minors (some as young as 4 and even one that is developmentally delayed) across various parts of the state.

“The details of these crimes are sad and disturbing, facts which are made even more abhorrent because the defendants used their faith communities or their own families to gain access to victims,” PA AG Michelle Henry said in the news release.

“Our office will never stop working to seek justice for those who have been victimized, and we will continue to investigate and prosecute anyone who harms the most vulnerable in our society,” Henry said.
