James Cameron has accused Oceangate of intentionally cutting corners as investigation shifts to cause of explosion following preventable disaster

Following the end of the search and rescue operation due to the loss of life, many including Cameron are now wondering why OceanGate did this in the first place.

Cameron best known perhaps for both his film career and his oceanic adventures has spoken out following the Titan 5 disaster. Cameron told the BBC that he believed Oceangate knowingly cut corners because much of this disaster was preventable.

In the same interview, Cameron knew from the start that the adventure was doomed because the sub wasn’t certified to go on such adventures let alone that far to begin with.

“I felt in my bones what had happened. For the sub’s electronics to fail and its communication system to fail, and its tracking transponder to fail simultaneously – sub’s gone.” Cameron told the outlet about what he initially suspected.

“I was very suspect of the technology that they were using. I wouldn’t have gotten in that sub,” he said.
