Jan 6 rioter who infamously propped his feet up on Nancy Pelosi’s desk gets 4.5 years in prison

A verdict in the case of the now notorious Arkansas man who propped his feet up on Nancy Pelosi’s desk during the Capitol terrorist attacks that occurred in the United States.

Richard Barnett the 63-year-old man from Arkansas who became a symbol of the Jan 6th attacks on the U.S Capitol has learned his fate. According to the case, the infamous rioter is headed to prison for 4.5 years for his role in the riot and of course his infamous time in Pelosi ‘s office.

Prosecutors in the case argued that Barnett in the office together plus the photographs made for “one of the best-known images of that day, symbolizing the rioters having wrested control of both the hallowed space and the political process from the nation’s elected leaders.”

Back in January, the disgraced Arkansas man was charged with 8 charges in total including theft of government property and entering and remaining in a restricted building or grounds with a deadly or dangerous weapon; in addition to the stun device, Barnett armed himself with a ten-pound steel pole, prosecutors said.
