Inside the tawdry porn scandal that may bring down Donald Trump with shock indictment

What typically might be described as a tawdry situation between an elderly perverted man and a porn star instead has turned into an illegal hush-money payment scheme that is threatening to bring the said perverted man down. The payment scheme of course is that in which involves none other than American porn star Stormy Daniels.

When it happened a washed-up reality star had invited a porn actress roughly half of his age to a hotel room following a rowdy game of golf in a celebrity golf tournament. She arrived in a sparkly gold dress and equally flashy strappy heels. Like many of Trump’s false promises throughout his life, he had led her to believe that she would be on television after their meeting, by then, she says they had slept together before the evening ended.

Now that may seem fairly tame for your usual run-of-the-mill pervert seeking a thrill later in life. But instead, it has led to a historic first in America: a criminal indictment against a former President of the United States. An indictment that as many reports suggest stems from the hush-money payments made to Stormy Daniels.

The charges are of the felony kind and arise from the claim that Trump unlawfully withheld a $130,000 payment to Stormy Daniels on the eve of the 2016 Presidential Election. Also at the time the payment was made to Michael D. Cohen his then-fixer who also did his own stint in prison for similar charges against him a few years ago.

The hard part for prosecutors in the case isn’t bringing Trump down in handcuffs at large, instead, it is proving why they ‘did the right thing’ in the first place. Their argument largely hinders whether or not Trump knew; knew about the payment, concealed it and then falsified business records in the midst of it all. Prosecutors appear to believe that Trump may have done so in an effort to conceal an election law violation.
