Sturgeon is out as First Minister of Scotland this week following a sudden resignation announcement. According to NBC News, Sturgeon has led Scotland since about 2014 and recently came under intense criticism for attempting to make it easier for people to change their genders to match how they identify.
“In my head and in my heart I know that time is now,” she told reporters today. “That it’s right for me, for my party and my country.”
