Hot Wheels Unleashed is a video game chronicling the racing adventures of the iconic wheel car many people know and love. As Playstation players, we value a game that is exciting and thrilling Unleashed checks both boxes.
Our Review:
Probably easily thought of as a video game from the aughts HWU in fact is anything but. Well-imagined and awesome graphics to boot — the high-speed (they go pretty fast for a video game) racing game features hot wheels that go quite literally off the rails. Fast-paced; adventurous, online and multiplayer the game features numerous modes of play suitable for your friends and more.
Beautifully designed and woven into amusing (theres’ a spider web in one) levels the game makes for a challenging time-consuming event for most. The game surprisingly manages to recreate the world’s most iconic toy cars into modern video game cars that look far more realistic than we would’ve ever imagined. My favourite part of the game is the fact that designers managed to stay tiny keeping it authentic to the real Hot Wheel car rather than changing much of anything about the very idea of a hot-wheel car.
Players will be able to appreciate the updated and modern take on a ‘Hot Wheel’ car featuring many cars some may recognize from real life.
Best Parts: Highly customizable; lots to play with, several cars to choose from, well imagined and designed Hot Wheels: Unleashed perhaps was the surprise we didn’t see coming. We would absolutely recommend this game for all ages as it is fun for even the grown folks of the gaming crowd.
