Raging Mad: Fl Senators despite voting against Hurricane Ian Relief aid are asking for more aid

Marco Rubio and Rick Scott have always been two Senators that otherwise have been backwards their entire political careers. According to reports, the two are now making headlines after voting against relief aid for the state of Florida only to turn right back around and ask for more aid for the very same thing they voted against. In a letter to the Appropriations Committee, the following was penned by both Senators in a joint letter.

“Hurricane Ian will be remembered and studied as one of the most devastating hurricanes to hit the United States. Communities across Florida have been completely destroyed, and lives have been forever changed,” the senators wrote.

“A robust and timely federal response, including through supplemental programs and funding, will be required to ensure that sufficient resources are provided to rebuild critical infrastructure and public services capacity, and to assist our fellow Floridians in rebuilding their lives.”

In usual typical GOP talking points, Rubio was confronted by CNN on Sunday and asked about the hypocrisy. In response to the questions he falsely claimed that the bill contained ‘a bunch of unrelated things.’
