King Charles III has unveiled his new cipher + new bank notes are coming (eventually)

Buckingham Palace has announced the design for the King ‘s new cipher in an announcement that also includes information on the upcoming change of bank notes. According to the Palace, the following image is the monarch ‘s new royal cipher that is set to appear in a multitude of places. The cipher contains the letters C and R, C being Charles and R being Rex the latin word for King. III is also located in the cipher because Charles is the third King to reign as King Charles.

The King personally had decisions in the making of the cipher according to the palace. Accordingto the Royal Mint, coins and banknotes are also coming (but won’t fully enter public life until about 2024) and will only be printed to meet demand or replace worn ones. As for postage stamps, folks likely will see those soon as the first piece of mail with King Charles III ‘s face on the stamp was officially sent out on Tuesday.
