Charles automatically became King Charles III here’s what’s next for the monarchy

King Charles III is now a name many will have to get familiar with right along with Queen Consort Camilla (formerly the Duchess of Cornwall.) Following the death of the King ‘s mother, Queen Elizabeth II, Buckingham Palace almost immediately announced that Charles had become King per succession rules. This makes his 40-year-old son Prince William the new heir to the British throne.

In other royal news, Prince Harry ‘s children can now rightfully use HRH titles as Harry himself has moved up the line of succession. This goes in contrast to previous bombshell claims made by the Duchess of Sussex in which she openly claimed that the children had been barred from ever having the right to do so.

King Charles, however, likely intends to slim down the monarchy to become a more modern institution though it is unclear how that may go. Several reports indicate that Prince Harry and Prince Andrew in particular could potentially be left out in the cold forever.
