Jen Psaki is probably the one woman in America who probably wishes that she was not the Press Secretary but instead of a private citizen. According to reports, Psaki is kicking off her pre-weekend by hitting none other than Fox News in a desperate effort to clean up the historic fuck up that occurred yesterday during Biden ‘s solo presser (that was so disastrous we actually had to turn it off.)
Yesterday, Biden bemusingly hinted around the idea that he thought the upcoming American midterm elections may have already been stolen or would be. Psaki, of course, quickly spent the first few moments of her appearance on Fox debunking his very words.
He “absolutely is not predicting that the 2022 elections would be illegitimate.”
“The point he was raising was both that in 2020, even amongst challenging circumstances, efforts to suppress the vote and the midst of a pandemic, there was record turnout, [among] Democrats and Republicans record turnout to go to the polls,” Psaki told “America’s Newsroom” hosts Bill Hemmer and Dana Perino.
“And the point he was making is that the former president [Trump] asked a number of states, seven or more in fact, to overturn the outcome of the election. Now obviously, if there’s an effort to do that, we’ve got to fight against that. That’s what our commitment is to doing but he was not making a prediction.”
But those weren’t the worst of the comments. According to reports who documented Biden ‘s speech yesterday (there’s of course video below), Biden made the following comment in regards to the nearly inevitable Russian invasion in Ukraine. This is absolutely not a drill people — Russia is absolutely preparing to invade an entire country because they want to take it over. But according to Biden “minor” was the word to use here.
In response to those comments Ukraine ‘s President responded by indicating Biden was entirely in the wrong to use such words as “may have just given Russian a green light to attack.”
