Apple is poised to finally let people skip the monster lines and repair their devices at home

But with most things unless you sort of know what you’re doing you should probably call your tech obsessed teenager or still take your devices into the store. Formally called the “Self Service Repair Programme” it is set to launch in the United States next year and will begin with iPhones 12 & 13 followed by Macs. It is one of the longest running issues with Apple, who, in order to con more money out of consumers had feverishly denied the right to repair a device at home for many years.

Along with the programme consumers will be able to have parts sent to their home along with vivid and full instructions on how to perform the repair action themselves.
