As wildfires rage, death toll follows across the West Coast

From Northern California to much of Washington State —- wildfires of all types and sizes are ravaging much of the West Coast. According to firefighters across the coast, millions of acres have been burned; homes have been lost, and now at least 28 have been reported dead from the disaster(s).

According to CNN, there are roughly about 97 fires burning simultaneously up and down the west coast. In Oregon, thousands of people have been displaced from their homes; a teenage boy lost his life after being burnt alive in a car he hid in with his dog, and a woman was awoken by police informing her she had to get out now.

It truly is like something straight out of one of the worst movies we’ve ever seen.

In case it couldn’t get any worse, federal officials and medical experts are warning that the near universal unhealthy air quality across the coast is making the vulnerable more prone to COVID-19.
